Toripalimab + chemo gains NMPA acceptance as perioperative NSCLC therapy, cutting recurrence risk by 60% (Ref)


The National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has accepted Junshi Biosciences’ supplemental application for toripalimab + platinum chemotherapy as perioperative treatment (plus adjuvant monotherapy) for resectable stage II–III NSCLC patients


The supplemental application is based on Ph3 study aiming to compare the efficacy and safety of toripalimab or placebo in combination with chemotherapy as perioperative treatment for resectable stage II/III NSCLC patients


  • EFS benefit: toripalimab + chemo reduced recurrence/progression/death risk by 60% (HR=0.40)


  • OS trend: HR=0.62, showing improved survival


  • Pathological outcomes: pCR rate 24.8% vs 1.0%, MPR rate 48.5% vs 8.4%
