In Phase 3 EPCORE DLBCL-2 study, epcoritamab + R-CHOP significantly improved PFS in newly diagnosed DLBCL (Ref)
Genmab and AbbVie reported positive Phase 3 EPCORE DLBCL-2 results, evaluating fixed treatment duration epcoritamab (T-cell engaging bispecific antibody) in combination with standard of care rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin hydrochloride, vincristine, and prednisone (R-CHOP), compared to R-CHOP alone, in newly diagnosed patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) with an International Prognostic Index (IPI) score of 2 to 5
EPCORE DLBCL-2 met its primary endpoint, demonstrating superior progression-free survival for epcoritamab + R-CHOP versus R-CHOP alone
The combination reduced the risk of disease progression or death by 51% (HR: 0.49; p<0.0001)
The safety profile was consistent with the known profiles of the individual therapies
The study is the first Phase 3 trial of a bispecific antibody-based regimen to demonstrate a statistically significant progression-free survival benefit in frontline DLBCL.
Genmab and AbbVie plan to engage with regulatory authorities regarding potential submissions based on these data.
The results support the potential of epcoritamab plus R-CHOP as a new frontline treatment option for patients with newly diagnosed DLBCL
