Plinabulin secures US FDA Fast Track Designation as BeyondSpring advances Phase 3 DUBLIN-4 NSCLC program with strategic China funding agreement (Ref)
BeyondSpring Announces US FDA Fast Track Designation for Plinabulin (GEF-H1 agonist ) in Post-ICI Non-Squamous NSCLC and Strategic Transaction to Advance Global Phase 3 DUBLIN-4 Trial
The FDA granted Fast Track designation to plinabulin plus docetaxel for patients with advanced/metastatic non-squamous NSCLC who have progressed after prior PD-(L)1 inhibitor and platinum-based chemotherapy and do not have actionable genomic alterations
BeyondSpring entered a transaction with Biolin Investment Limited, which will fund the China portion of the global Phase 3 DUBLIN-4 study, representing approximately half of total planned enrollment. BeyondSpring retains global rights to plinabulin outside Greater China
DUBLIN-4 is a randomized Phase 3 trial evaluating plinabulin plus docetaxel versus docetaxel alone in approximately 442 patients, with overall survival (OS) as the primary endpoint.
A prespecified interim analysis is planned after 221 progression-free survival (PFS) events.
The company highlighted prior clinical evidence from DUBLIN-3 and other studies supporting the potential of plinabulin in the post-ICI setting, including improvements in overall survival and response rates versus docetaxel alone
HUTCHMED announces US NDA Submission for ORPATHYS + TAGRISSO in MET-Driven EGFR-Mutated NSCLC (Ref)
HUTCHMED Announced submission of the NDA to US FDA for ORPATHYS (savolitinib; c-MET inhibitor) in combination with TAGRISSO (osimertinib; EGFR TKI) for the treatment of patients with advanced or metastatic EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with MET overexpression or amplification whose disease has progressed following EGFR-targeted therapy
The NDA is supported by data from the global Phase III SAFFRON trial, which evaluated ORPATHYS plus TAGRISSO versus platinum-based chemotherapy in patients with MET-driven resistance following osimertinib treatment.
The study demonstrated statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvements in both progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) compared with chemotherapy.
The combination demonstrated a manageable safety profile consistent with the known safety characteristics of the individual agents, with no new safety signals reported
Detailed results will be presented in a Presidential Symposium at the upcoming European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress 2026
US FDA grants Orphan Drug and Rare Pediatric Disease designations to UTR Therapeutics' MYCN-targeting candidate UTRxMYCN M1-14 (Ref)
UTR Therapeutics announced that the US FDA has granted both Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) and Rare Pediatric Disease Designation (RPDD) to its lead candidate, UTRxMYCN M1-14, for the treatment of soft tissue sarcoma, including rhabdomyosarcoma
UTRxMYCN M1-14 is designed to target MYCN (N-MYC), a key oncogenic driver implicated in aggressive sarcomas and historically considered difficult to drug directly.
The therapy leverages UTR Therapeutics' proprietary 3′UTR engineering platform, which aims to selectively eliminate disease-causing mRNA while preserving healthy mRNA.
Preclinical studies demonstrated dose-dependent MYCN suppression, tumor growth inhibition, reduced metastasis, and a favorable safety profile in MYCN-driven rhabdomyosarcoma models
